Dolce Campo Real Lisboa Hotel Is the Best hideaway
This 5 star hotel tucked away in the center of Torres Vedras (about one hour and half drive from Lisbon airport) is the perfect place to go to hide away from the planet surrounded by acres of green as far as the eye could see. Dolce Campo is a location known for its excellent golf course and it’s famed for golf tourism (like a lot of resort hotels in this area) however, there is still lots to do for those of you who prefer to drink tea instead of tee off.
From the moment we stepped across the threshold we were treated with spectacular provider, which may only be anticipated because of this place’s excellent standing. As it embraces colour the architecture design of this hotel sets it apart marginally. Don’t hesitate to see villas and the chambers painted yellow with terracotta roof tiles, a vast and vibrant contrast. The drenching it in sunlight and Spanish design tiled flooring. In addition they have a pub full of comfy beige suede couches decorated with mirrored coffee tables, chandeliers and plush pillows. This hotel in general had a vibe to it with plenty of staff to assist you.
Now in terms of the room I stayed in, it was a double one on the ground floor. The very first thing that strikes you and A mixture of wood and carpeting flooring was this theme of seclusion and having your own private haven. You enter to observe a spectacular bed and comfy sofa for comfort. Next to this you’ve got my one in particular overlooking a turquoise pool below, your own private balcony. The bathroom was fantastic with pine shutters next to the tub tub and a walk in bathtub whose water has been so powerful you stepped out feeling invigorated and new to say the very least. (Believe me it was difficult to leave that shower!) Overall in terms of décor everything was clean and modern with light. Kitted out with all of the amenities and if anything else was wanted you had your telephone on the end eager to assist. The room below is just one of the rooms and also well worth it if you’re willing to splurge a little more! There’s also a spa onsite which is ideal for some relaxation after a round of golf or simply pampering and comfort.
No visit to the Dolce Campo Real would be complete without a lunch in the clubhouse which is in a separate area from the hotel, overlooking the golf program. (Obviously) It was modern and airy and we were treated to a delicious three course meal. This consisted of a carrot and cream soup with rump steak that was rich and satisfying, fresh with a mushroom risotto along with a subtle flavour using traditional Portuguese sausage ball. All glistening off with a trio of desserts, almond tart , cinnamon rice pudding and a sorbet and wine to cleanse the pallet.
Needless to say at this stage we were fairly full so a stroll round the grounds was in order. From what I noticed in the excellent team that linked us is that it was a superb one now anything golf is lost however. (Regardless of the rain, yes can you believe it really rains in Portugal?) The breakfast options were also fantastic with a huge array of options to choose from, including a wealth of the famous Pastéis de nata (Portuguese custard tart, which I am not ashamed to say I ate almost every day on our stay. When in Rome as they say) as well as fresh fruit, eggs, legumes and other pastries.
the actual selling point of the place is that although there’s a pub and restaurant and plenty of areas where you can be social it’s truly very calm. Since you are living in the hills away from any noise or 17, Sleep can be easily found. It’s a hotel that’s perfect for those who love golf, nevertheless equally perfect for those who want some privacy and time to themselves in their own small world. Either way we were treated like royalty the team as well as by the supervisor and it is a place I would happily suggested to anybody the next time they visit Portugal.
