We headed to the No1 sofa at the Southern terminal of Gatwick Airport (there will also be three more No1 lounges in the North Terminal.) It’s tucked away on the second floor down a small corridor and you are instantly transported to utter airport luxury from the airport vibe that was general. Elegant décor sweeps through to the couch and clubrooms (clubrooms offer you a much more superior experience). A attentive and polite member of team leads in us and seated at a dining table near the window where you are able to watch the airplanes landing and taking off.
All food and drink is included in this couch (including chosen alcoholic drinks) and as it was a morning trip we both ordered the full English accompanied by a glass of prosecco — there is nothing like starting your holiday in style! The food was brought over within about fifteen minutes and as far as a full breakfast go it was yummy! The staff are attentive and friendly without being overbearing, always available without bending over your shoulder to help. After eating you are welcome to unwind in the lounge until your trip (though if you would like to head outside and do a bit of shopping, you are not guaranteed your chair when you get back so it’s ideal to do this before!) You will find an abundance of magazines and newspapers to read and it’s a beautiful and relaxing area. It adds to the vacation experience, which makes the airport just as exciting as the trip itself, taking away any anxiety or boredom and adding a touch of luxury and glamour.
An added extra is that with your No1 lounge reservation you get access to superior safety, bypassing the queues and breezing through — preventing any flaws here and again, taking away any worries.
