Hyde Park is a road-cross away, and the whole of London beckons at its palms. The exterior of this building reveals the layout that is 70s, whilst the main entrance boasts a much more grandeur affair, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows and granite columns. Even so, this will not bear homage past the doors only to the spectacular interior. Shiny wooden outlines the walls, with fireplaces ornate mirrors and photo-frames adding that touch of splendour. Staff are all too happy to help, straight away assisting with our luggage and ensuring.
We were assigned the Luxury Royal Suite, and although we had been foretold of how lavish and large the room was, we were somewhat anxious of just what this would imply- (after all, London Hotel room sizes are often of slightly smaller scale.) We have been presented a room which was larger than you typical flat- with windows and dining room, spacious bath bedroom and a huge living covering. These windows offered to utterly breathtaking views of London’s whole- every landmark in the Shard into the London Eye tumbled beneath in a whirl of city lighting.
Upon arrival, we were gifted a complimentary bottle of wine and revealed round our area nothing was too much trouble and they advised us to contact them if there weren’t any difficulties. The windows held ledges enough to sit on and drink at the views below hands curled round a glass of your favorite tipple.
The living space, although beautiful, could do with a little upgrade concerning decor- furniture and the carpet seemed a little obsolete. They did say a refurb is presently on the cards when we spoke to the Lancaster Hotel staff. The bathroom was modern with striking views, a large sink and bath plus black and white marble.
The bedroom was for London, with a generously sized dressing bed, tv, table and tables. The bed itself was incredibly comfortable and big with perspectives and plush pillows of the city to fall asleep to.
The Hotel itself is big, with two lounge areas, one next to the restaurant, three restaurants and 416 bedrooms and one at the lobby.
Whilst we didn’t have dinner in the restaurant, their breakfast tried. The spread included the regulars to create a full English, but also had a range of traditional oriental dishes also. There was plenty of choice, all topped up and frequently assessed upon, and a waiter was constantly on hand offering coffee and new tea.
We had an opportunity to talk to some of the catering team, and we were informed by them that the Lancaster is famous for its cream teas- hot scones berry tarts and so much more. Enjoy with tea or a glass (or 2) of Laurent Perrier. Costs for a space and a cream tea begin from #189.00 per night- an ideal treat to include for your night away.
Aswell as the lotion tea there are numerous packages you’ll be able to select from to improve off- take a look here.
Consequently, if you’re on the hunt for a Hotel in a five star service, magnificent views, and an location to decide on it, look no farther than the Lancaster. See details and book your room here
