Booking a holiday is just one of the things that are very exciting, but unfortunately for a few this elation is clouded by the thought of having to endure a very long plane journey to reach the destination in the first place. Whilst we can not guarantee to totally eradicate your anxiety about flying, below are a few of our top tips to reduce your anxiety about flying and make your journey that bit simpler…
1Discover the sounds that a plane makes
Planes create a variety of noises which may make you feel uneasy when flying when they aren’t the sounds. The wheels coming down, the sound of the motor at the skies and rattling of the hand or when taking off luggage in the compartments above. Try to become acquainted so that you don’t worry when you listen to them.

3Distract yourself
Being in the skies can be extremely boring and long so make sure that you bring something to take your mind. Get a few books in your kindle, perhaps a film or two or prepare a playlist. A favourite of ours is an adult colouring book; this help keep your distracted and is going to keep you entertained for hours.
4Try to sleep
Sounds easy but think how quick the hours go by when you sleep. Find a position that is comfortable deliver a neck pillow and eye mask, close your eyes and snooze the trip away. You will be there in no time. And you won’t have stressed.
5Keep yourself hydrated
When flying it’s important to keep yourself hydrated and to look after your energy levels. However be careful not to drink overly much, you do not wish to be getting up to go to the bathroom all the time!
