S if everything on Qatar wasn’t already cool enough, it’s also here that I found that the incredible adventure that is the desert safari…
So I joined some of my fellow bloggers and travel writers to wait to take us into our desert experience. We headed south, from Doha, in two 4×4 vehicles accompanied by desert drivers. In preparation for those conditions, after a quick halt to deflate tyres, we entered the desert and drove out.

The Desert Safari: Landscape
Since the landscape began to change radically the scene defeated me. The dunes stood majestically against the horizon and rose above our heads. There was little else as far as the eye could see. The sand dipped curved and improved with no warning. At times, the drops were near our 4 × 4 slipped downwards and vertical, almost.
In some areas, salt had deposited over the face and glistened a shiny white. Elsewhere, rain from previous days had. Then we struck an solid surface along with the jeep jolted over every rock. The coolness of the sand under my feet seemed contradictory against the lack of humidity as soon as I increased outside. By this point, I’d felt waves of emotions that were different and we’d spent less than one hour in the desert!
The Desert Safari: Camels!
We drove around scouring the horizon for wild camels. It was wonderful to watch our guide browse. We seen wild camels in the space grazing. We drove up so close that one can touch. In Arabic civilization camels symbolise tolerance patience and endurance. It’s easy to know why, when you see these creatures from the wild.
The Desert Safari: Plants
The landscape had altered. Plants like these covered areas of the surface with tender shoots peeking out of the sand.
The Desert Safari: The Inland Sea
The Qatari desert boasts an inland sea. THIS must be the jewel in its crown if the desert is the heart beat of Qatar. It’s a wonder that is hauntingly beautiful yet known. Deserts and the desert surround the ocean in which Qatar and Saudi Arabia separate. It is a beach like no other I had ever seen. It will require all your power to get here nevertheless, I guarantee it’s going to be well worth it.
The Desert Safari: Regency Sealine Camp
Our last stop was at the Regency Sealine camp. It’s a beautiful place to rest and relax — a metaphorical oasis in the desert with staff, a restaurant and tented cabanas. The restaurant served a mouth watering buffet of kabsa and grilled meats, accompanied by vegetables, breads and fresh salads with dips. Fresh fruit and sweet deserts followed closely with plenty the Qatari sweet java — qahwahelw. It all was colourful and full of flavour. The service was impeccable.
Following lunch, I did small but take in the views that are magnificent and relax. First and foremost, following the knowledge from the desert and the ride it felt good to slow down the speed. So it had been possible to walk along it in peaceful serenity the beach here is personal.
Consequently, if I have to resolve, this safari went beyond expectations. An 44 experience along with a sighting of camels and a mesmerising inland sea are more than I could’ve hoped for in the space of 2 hours! Finally arriving where I eat could shower, alter and walk along a quiet white sandy shore was the icing on the cake. It felt as though I’d kept my cake and eaten it and once you get here you will understand exactly what I mean.
